Atsuko and I went to see the new GODZILLA movie last night. What a treat! I'm a huge 'Zilla fan and was left wanting after the very disappointing 1998 film starring Mathew Broderick. That was a terrible movie and disgrace to the franchise. This new Godzilla is, in my humble opinion,
THE best Godzilla movie of all time!
Why is this new Godzilla the best?? Certainly NOT because of all the flashy CG used in it, though that creates a feast for the eyes. As in all good cinema, it is the storyline and characters that make or break a movie and I feel this Godzilla has it all. I was skeptical going in after the muck I was subjected to 15 years ago, but this movie offered redemption and then some. SEE IT!!!

A Godzilla pen and bottle cap (with my ticket stub) ended up coming home with us..

I didn't know that you like Godzilla!I saw it in 1998,I remember.Because they said that would be the last one!!Liar!!I'm with you,I didn't feel anything special then...I must see the new one?Well,I can't decide yet,I'm going to the theater though.What for?For seeing f**kin' great movie the TRANSFORMERS!!!!!!!!!!(say it like Heavy Metal bands' guys :)) 3 times and more,I think :)Yep,I'm a big fan!!!!!!!
Nice Akemi!! I love your enthusiasm. If I had known before that you too are a Godzilla fan, I would have asked you to come with Atsuko and I to see it! Zannen deshita. Oh well - we will have to all go together for the sequel. Enjoy the F**kin' Transformers man!!!!
